Unit Question: How can virtual environments represent real environments?

Requirements:
  • Take the test on Skyward

  • Spend one day investigating GoAnimate and Stykz
  • Choose one OR both to create your story
  • Use animation to create a real story about your environment
  • Your animation needs to be 30 - 45 seconds
  • You will receive an academic grade. See the rubric at the bottom of the page
  • You will receive a MYP grade for Investigate and Attitude.
  • I do not want your animation to be gross, demented, or violent. That makes me sad, which will make your grade sad.
  • You have 7 days to complete this assignment. (Due September 30)

Yes, You see animations in real life because they have cartoons and animated programs all over the place.

- How can animation be use to tell a real story? You can tell a life Story with comedy through animation.
It can be used to tell a real story because you can exagerate the truth to make the story a lot better, and no one gets hurt because it is all animated.


- Explain how animation environments can be positive and negative in your life:

- How can virtual environments represent real environments? (Write a complete paragraph!)
Animation environments can be positive because it makes people laugh. You can also make a living if you get good enough at making animations. But it can also be negative because you can become addicted to watching animations. You can easily get off task by watching animations.

- What MYP grade do you deserve for this section? 6

  1. Arguments with with Putnam.
  2. Falling down stairs.
  3. Running into a pole.
  4. Licking a frozen stop sign.
- What idea did you choose for your animation and why did you choose it?
  • We decided to choose all of them, because each, individual idea wouldn't be able to take up 30 seconds of animation.
- Type a brief explanation of your final plot below:
Jon will be arguing with Putnam about breaking her board game. Then he will run to the front of the school with her chasing him. Then outside the school a strange man will tempt Jon with suspicious snacks. Jon will run away then Putnam will come out, where the strange man will then hit on her. Then she will reject him. Jon will get to his home where the strange man is talking to his mom. Where then they will reveal that he is his new dad.
